W drodze do lasu // On the way to the forest

No i nareszcie nadszedł ten dzień, wyjeżdżamy jutro! To znaczy taki jest plan i mam ogromną nadzieję, że nic go już w ostatniej chwili nie zmieni. Po raz kolejny więc czeka mnie intensywny dzień – pakowanie, ostatnie zakupy, upewnienie się, że wszystko mam, zarówno dla siebie (tu mam głównie na myśli zapas słodyczy, ale nie tylko bo i np. repelentów) i dla obozu (tu sprawa jest nieco bardziej skomplikowana, bo zabieramy naprawdę dużo sprzętu, który trzeba skompletować, sprawdzić itd). Wydawać by się mogło, że wszystko jest już gotowe, bo byliśmy już raz bardzo blisko wyjazdu i wtedy przygotowaliśmy większość rzeczy. Większość może i owszem, ale niestety nie wszystko, a przy tym z każdym kolejnym dniem lista rzeczy do zrobienia i kupienia zamiast skracać – wydłuża się. Momentami myślę, że te nasze przygotowania nigdy się nie skończą.

Jutro rano wyjeżdżamy samochodem z Palangkarayi do Puruk Cahu, zajmie nam to ok 12 godzin. Następnie płyniemy kilka godzin łodzią, później przesiadamy się do samochodu, by potem znów wsiąść do łodzi. Gdzieś w międzyczasie nocujemy, bo każdy odcinek trasy zajmuje solidnych kilka godzin. Nie znam jeszcze wszystkich szczegółów każdego z etapów tej podróży, wiem jedynie, że w sumie ma nam ona zająć 4 dni. Dokładniej na pewno całą podróż opiszę przy najbliższej okazji, czyli pod koniec marca, a może i wcześniej, kiedy to wrócę do miasta. Dlaczego tak szybko? Okazuje się, że moja roczna wiza jest już gotowa i muszę ją odebrać w Singapurze, zanim ta obecna mi wygaśnie.

Dla tych, którzy chcieli by do mnie napisać, gdy będę poza zasięgiem podaję adres. Piszcie śmiało:

And finally the day has come, I'm leaving tomorrow! I mean, that's the plan, and I very much hope it won’t change at the very last minute. So once again I have a busy day ahead of me - packing, shopping, making sure that I have all I need, both for myself (here, I mainly think of sweets and chocolate, but also repellents and such) and for the camp (here it's somewhat more complicated, because we take a lot of equipment that need to be assembled, checked, etc). One would assume that  everything is ready because we were already very close to departure not that long time ago and we did prepare most things back then. Well exactly, most maybe yes but not all, plus somehow each day the “to do list” instead of shortening – is getting longer. Sometimes I think our preparation process will never end.

Tomorrow morning we leave by car to Puruk Cahu, this will take us about 12 hours. Then we take a boat for few hours to later on change for a car again and one more time we will take the boat afterwards. I do not know all the details yet regarding each stage of this journey, I know only that in total it will take us 4 days so we will obviously stay in the village over night. I will describe all the way there in more details once I get back to the city, which may happen in late March or perhaps a bit earlier. It turns out that my one year visa is ready to be collected and I have to pick it up in Singapore before the one I have at the moment expires.
